What do you think of these Gothic girl names?
Adare -- I LOVE this as a middle name...it reminds me of someone extremely important to me, so I have it listed as a middle name on my list. 9 / 10 for middle!

Althaia -- I don't really like it. It's not my style, just a bit hard to say to me... 5 / 10

Amaranth -- It's kind of strange... might be an okay middle name, but it sounds funny and just fun to say to me. Not a good name, but it sure is fun to say... I might have to name something this just for the fun of it...something NOT being a kid, that is! 6 / 10

Briar -- I'm hoping it's for a boy, because I'd like it a lot better that way... unless it was like Sleeping Beauty, Briar Rose... It's not horrible, but it's not something I would ever personally use. 6 / 10

Cameo -- I don't like it... it seems to "painter" to me. Not my style either, it's like...a noun... 5 / 10

Desdemona -- I've never liked this name... I'm not a fan of names that start with "Des" for some reason... 4 / 10

Electra/Elektra -- Straaaaange! But cool for something that's not a kid. 6 / 10

Echo -- I know a girl with this name! Pronounced the first way, ek - oh. She's pretty awesome, but I don't see her all that often... just occasionally at camp or when I visit her... But she goes by her middle name, Abigail (well she goes by Abbie...) I like it better for a middle name, but I have a soft spot for it just because of the person I know. 6 / 10

Estelle -- I love Estelle. It's beautiful and not gothic at all.. the people who put it on that list are pretty clueless. I could never imagine a name with "elle" in it belonging to someone dark...

Indigo -- It reminds me of the guy from Princess Bride! "My name is Indigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.". I love that movie! But I would never ever ever name my kid Indigo... 5 / 10

Lilith -- It would be better is a middle name... Lots of people would

Jinx -- Wow, that would be a pretty mean thing to name a kid... I think it would come across as "I'm jinxed because of this kid". Heh, I would definitely never use it myself...once again, maybe for something that's not a human... 5 / 10

January -- I don't see how this is gothic at all... maybe October, but not January... I know a woman named January, but she just goes by Jan. She annoys me, so I don't particularly like the name. 6 / 10

Morgana -- To Ariel for me. Megara is way cooler... haha, but I would never use it either. 6 / 10

Morwenna -- That has almost no flow to it... the name itself to me doesn't sound that great... 5 / 10

Nissa -- It's not as horrible. I wouldn't personally use it, again...it sounds a bit like a nickname. I know a little girl named Lyssa...her name is always mistaken for Melissa or Alyssa... it's pretty annoying. The name is okay, but I wouldn't personally use it. 6 / 10

Ophelia -- I don't like it at all... I'm not a fan of hurricane names, and it just seems really old hat and...ick, I'm not a fan. 4 / 10

Pandora -- Ew...I like pandas, but not as a nickname... heh, not a cool name to me. 5 / 10

Raven -- I don't like Raven... it reminds me of "That's so Raven". It was a funny TV show, but I don't like her as a person. She's a fine actor, I guess, but she's not a cool person. So I don't like the name. 5 / 10

Rue -- I would like LaRue way more, which would hopefully be used as a middle name... It reminds me of Roo from Winnie the Pooh... He's cute, and it's a cool name for a Kangaroo, but not a person...5 / 10

Shadow -- Once again, good for something that's not a kid. 6 / 10

Snow -- I know too many people with this as a last name... I wish it was my last name...I love snow... 6 / 10

Starling -- This? Gothic? haha, I don't think so. For one thing it has "star" in it, and it ends with ling... like sapling... aw what a beautiful name for a gothic child! I don't think so... heh, it's an okay name, better middle. 6 / 10

Tempest -- I would never use it as a name, unless for something random. It's fun to say, but not a name. 6 / 10

Wednesday -- Nooo it sounds too celebrity... Everyone would always be like "See ya wednesday, Wednesday!". Oh so annoying! 5 / 10

Willow -- I've never liked Willow... I don't like it at all. I don't know why exactly... but mostly, it just reminds me of the old willow tree from Pocahontas, so it seems like an old name to me. I like the talking tree and all, but she reminds me of Tracy the Tree from Rainforest Cafe...she's so creepy! 5 / 10

Winter -- Middle name, maybe...but once again, only because I love winter... I would never use it as a name though, but maybe for a dog. 6 / 10

I don't think I exactly liked any of them... no, wait, I love Estelle. It's beautiful! But most of the others are pretty strange...but that's just my opinion.

Hope I helped!

Reply:If I HAD to choose a "gothic" name for a baby, it'd be Azrael because I think it sounds pretty. But that's what Gargamel's cat was named.

The problem with these names is that someday, the kid might want to make a business card.

Reply:Some of them are a little too 'out-there' for me.

I guess Nissa is cute though..
Reply:Addrienna and Namey and Jacklyn are on there too
Reply:Out of your list i love Lilith, Willow, Estelle and Winter.

Lilith meaning night is a cool gothic name with a really interesting story which is: In Jewish legend, Lilith was Adam's first wife, and was expelled from Eden. I find it interesting lol.

Willow is beautiful classy name which i wouldn't of thought as gothic but i suppose it is gothic. It is a unisex name but i think is more for girls.

Estelle meaning star is a nice name which is surprisingly quite old!

Lastly Winter is adorable i first heard of it as a name when Nicole Richie used the name for her child Harlow Winter Kate Madden. I love it like Autumn and Summer its a nice name and makes me think of glistening icy days really pretty!

Merry Christmas.
