Raven or Kadence or Alexis..and what does Kadence mean?
What is the coolest and sexiest gothic name?
I personally like Raven, especially for someone with black hair.
Reply:It is usually spelled Cadence. It's an english word meaning rhythm or flow. The C was changed to K just for a different form, much like Cathy and Kathy.
I'm not sure that Alexis sounds gothic. I know lots of girls with that name and they are not gothic.
Go to this link and scroll down a little for a large list of gothic names, you'll have to sort between male and female: http://www.alternativebabynames.com/inde...
I like Autumn and December, Onyx is cool as well as Willow and Scarlet.
*edit* I know someone named Willhemina (will-huh-mean-uh) and they call her Meana.
Reply:I agree with emma-nemma that Raven is the best of the choices given, especially if you have dark hair.
Kadence is most likely a creative spelling of cadence, which is defined as follows:
鈥搉oun Also, cadency.
1. rhythmic flow of a sequence of sounds or words: the cadence of language.
2. (in free verse) a rhythmic pattern that is nonmetrically structured.
3. the beat, rate, or measure of any rhythmic movement: The chorus line danced in rapid cadence.
4. the flow or rhythm of events, esp. the pattern in which something is experienced: the frenetic cadence of modern life.
5. a slight falling in pitch of the voice in speaking or reading, as at the end of a declarative sentence.
6. the general modulation of the voice.
7. Music. a sequence of notes or chords that indicates the momentary or complete end of a composition, section, phrase, etc.
鈥搗erb (used with object)
8. to make rhythmical.
EDIT: There are so many good choices on the webpage Sylvia H. listed! She wins Best Answer in my opinion! :-)
