i would like something that begins with an e or l or s. but really anything is fine. i also need a preppy name for the same character. would emmalynn work?
What is a good gothic name for a girl character in my story?
Gothic: Isabel
Preppy: Lena or Emily
Reply:there is no such thing as 'gothic name' or a 'preppy' name.
Gothic - Refers to the Goths of Europe (germany, france and other countries)
it was also a form of architecture and art.
it has nothing to do with names.
i think your actual question should be
what's a creepy name or what's a dark name? - Adrienne (it means dark) or Samara
and whats a fun loving name? - Josie or Amber.
- i'm perfectly fine with thumbs down btw
Reply:I'm not too keen on Emmalynn; it doesn't seem old to me and just looks like a name that should be hyphenated (Emma-Lynn)
Typing a list would be too tedious for me, so why not take a look at some of these links?

Google around for old German, French and English names; they've always struck me as gothic.
Reply:Gothic: Lucy, it's short and feminine form of Lucifer
Preppy: Sophie, Cindy, Chelsi, etc.

Emmalynn is kind of weird, but if you like it go ahead, it's your story.
